The backing itself is perforated neoprene, which cushions the wearer but also wicks away moisture and breathes as you wear it. The core is a sheet of spring steel. When you put the holster on, it flexes to fit your shape, wearing more comfortably than almost any other M&P appendix IWB holster.

The holster shell also fully wraps the trigger guard, offering better protection and a better fit. You also get the benefit of adjustable passive retention, as the included Adjustable Retention Unit can be dialed in to your precise desired setting.
